| Keep up to date on Maya's progress |
|
| Hi everyone! It has now been thirteen months since maya started treatment at The Burzynski clinic in Houston Texas and things are going well. The tumor has remained stable throughout and the doctors are confident that with further treatment it will one day disappear. We are looking to go back to America within the next couple of months to meet with doctor Burzynski who will evaluate Maya. We have been told to see him once every six months. Maya is now back at school part time and relishes the chance to be with her friends after so long away. This is only the start of her journey but we are confident that she will pull through which was not expected by the NHS in England. To see Maya and Bailey playing together is the best thing in the world as we never expected to see her playing like she used to. Her eyesight is bad and is not going to get better but hopefully with improvements in technology this will not always be the case. She is also struggling with academic things but this is such a small problem considering what could of happened. We need to keep her on this treatment and the complimentary treatments in the UK such as Oxygen therapy and Resignant therapy and will do any other treatments that could help Maya as this is her last chance and we don't plan on missing out on any possible things that could help. Maya is on many tablets as well as her medication from America the poor little girl doesn't enjoy taking them but we have explained that to continue making progress she must continue. We are currently awaiting scan results but are very confident as Maya seems so well. Thank you all once again I will keep you all updated regularly.
